Happy Birthday, Jon!!!
Jon's 32nd birthday was on the 16th and we went bike shopping. Every boy needs a "big boy bike" for their birthday (how was that for illiteration??). Jon went out Sunday morning for a ride and came back all muddy...with a huge smile on his face. Happy Birthday, Sweets.
Aunt Sarah Comes to Town
Here's Aunt Sarah with Jack. Sarah was a star this weekend. She stayed up until the wee hours with this little guy so that Mom and Dad could get some rest. Hooooray, Sarah!

As snug as a bug in a Boppy
Jack decided today that he wasn't going to sleep for more than an hour at a time and that under NO circumstances would he sleep anywhere but in my arms. This made for a very sore left arm and a very hungry Momma (I couldn't get anything to eat for brekkie or lunch while I was holding him).
Wouldn't you know, the Boppy makes a perfect fake arm. As I write this, I am thoroughly enjoying my oatmeal brunch (at 1:09).
Jack's Last "wipe down"
We found out that Jack is now ready for "Big Boy Baths" (meaning, we can put him IN the water and not just wipe him down). So, for posterity, here's the last picture of Jack after his wipe down.

Picture Day!!
Amy, of Amelia Claire Photography (www.ameliaclairephoto.carbonmade.com), came to the house yesterday to take pictures of Jack and the family. Here are a couple that she sent as a "sneak peak."

Turn the volume up!!
This is part of our routine now. After I feed Jack, Jon is in charge of getting the burps out. Jack is the world's best "coo-er." If you turn up the volume you'll hear the sweetest sounds come out of this boy.

Stop the presses....WE have a belly button!!!
Jack with the Grandparents
Nana Mer-Bear and Papa Jones (aka- Big Daddy T) did the trade off yesterday. Nana had been here since the birth (she was actually arriving at the hospital as Jack was taken to the nursery for his check up and bath) and Papa arrived on Friday. I love these shots, you can just see how spoiled Jack is going to be!
Jack's First Bath
Well, more like a "wipe down." With parts of him still healing; belly button and
unmentionables (we don't want him to be embarrased when he reads this), Jack got
the royal treatment. His first bath was a success- a warm washcloth with lavendar
baby soap. He wasn't too upset, but he was much happier all warm and bundled up after
the fact. We did get a "leak" in the cloth diaper he had on, but what else would you expect?!
