Stopping for a think

Every once in a while, when you're crawling all over the place, you need to stop for a think.
Who am I kidding...he had just picked up a leaf and stopped to put it in his mouth. But, I bet he was thinking, "Wow, this leaf is delish!"

His "football face"

Well, it's official. VT basketball season is o-v-e-r. Nice year, Hokies! With that said, we have started working with Jack on his "football face." You know, the face he'll need when he's on the offensive line. Grrrr....

A dimple and a tooth

****Warning: Baby spit bubbles in photo #2****
(I warned ya)

The dimple is definitely there, but the tooth is still on its way.
PS- if you look carefully in Jack's left eye, you can see my elbow. I think there must be some kind of hidden meaning.

dimple

In case you can't see it, here's the soon to be toofer.

Last day

**Note: for some reason, these photos are looking more and more pixelated when I load them on here. If you just click on them, they should be fine. Enjoy!

Today is Sarah's last full day here and Jack and I are sad. We went to visit the peacocks and take a few photos. I have some pretty ones of Sarah, but I need to go through them first. In the meantime, here's your Jack fix.

table

We found a cozy nook for Jack.

Here's where he really was. Don't worry, Sarah was there the WHOLE time!

Out in the sunshine

Aunt Sarah is here!

Whatever. She's not really his aunt, but she's Jack's godmother. That's close enough, right?
Please note, with the ACC tourney going on, we have Sarah in the winning shirt w. Jack cheering for the Terps.

After the park

It was a beautiful day here in Austin. Temps in the high 70s! So, Jack and I headed out to the park to enjoy the weather. Unfortunately, it was too sunny to get any great shots there, so I bribed him with cheerios when we got home!

Just call him, "Mr. Squishy Face."

Jack's "Little Friend"

This beautiful little girl is Abby. I call her, "Abbers." Truth be told, I think Jack has a tiny crush on her...

Could those eyes be any more striking?

"Huh...where did that Abbers go?"

Found her!

Our Trip to Mayfield Park

Some friends recommended going to Mayfield this weekend so, Papa, Jack and I headed out!

Jack kept trying to get Papa's hat.

He usually gets what he wants.
We went on a short stroll down the path.

Here's just one of the several peacocks we saw!

How Jack tells me, "We're done here."

He really is a great baby. He'll sit with me long enough to get some good shots in.

And then hand me the lens cap when we're done!

How I told Jack the news...

Tomorrow, Papa is coming to town. I thought I would keep it a secret, but then I decided to let Jack know. Here's how it went (my version...not his):

Me: Hey Jack?!?

Jack: Yes?

Me: Your papa is coming in to see you tomorrow!

Jack: Papa...papa...that name rings a bell.

Jack: Ok. Got it, now, what about Papa?

Me: He's coming down to see you tomorrow.

Jack: Yay! See you tomorrow, Papa!

Kite Festival!

Every year, on the first Sunday of March, Austin holds its annual Zilker Kite Festival. We went this year, despite the threatening clouds, and had a great time!

Jack was so excited, he was eating his hat!

This was the line to get on the bus. It moved quickly, though.

Jack didn't listen when the driver told him to keep his hands inside the bus. He's like that; always flirting with danger.

Kites were everywhere!

I mean everywhere!

Jack wasn't amused.

Get out your green beer...

Who could that be, hiding under that hat?

Ta-da!! It's Jack!

Taking a breather. It's hard work being a leprechaun.
